Jaguars hoops teams pick up big wins, boys 70-54 over Osakis and girls 69-40 over Maple Lake

The Jaguars girls improved to 8-2 in the Central Minnesota Conference, still two games behind leader Eden Valley-Watkins (20-1). The Jaguars are now 13-7 overall. Maple Lake fell to 4-16 overall and 1-9 in the CMC. Up next: A trip out west to Hancock on Thursday night to face the 13-1 state-ranked Owls. It's also Parents' Night in Hancock.

The Jaguars boys team, meanwhile, improved to 15-3 overall with the non-conference win over the Prairie Conference-leading Silverstreaks (8-9 overall). Up next: A trip to Holdingford on Thursday night to face the 5-12 Huskers. Holdingford was recently hammered by neighboring Class A rival Upsala 77-57. (The Cardinals are 10-5 overall against mostly Class A competition, with only two of their 10 wins coming against Class AA competition, the other being Maple Lake.)
