Senior Anthony Rooney earned his 75th career win in a 7-0 win as well against the Lakers.
The Jaguars girls basketball team was 71-61 winners against Holdingford in CMC action at home tonight. Courtesy of Bill Dean from KWLM radio, I received the following information: Sophomore Julie Hieserich had a career best 28 points. The Huskers placed most of their defensive emphasis on stopping Emily Roelike on the wing leaving Hieserich open out front. Heidi Lensing added a solid double double with 15 points and 14 rebounds while Roelike, despite the added attention, still managed to tally 12 points.
They are now 7-2 in the CMC (best record ever through 9 games in the CMC since they joined the league in 1999) and 12-7 overall.
Be sure to tune in to "The Train" 106.5 FM on Friday night for play-by-play coverage of the Jaguars vs. Lakers boys basketball game at Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted. Bill Dean and Don Leukam will be providing coverage of the biggest Central Minnesota Conference game this season.
