Jaguars Fastpitch wins at Pierz via 10-run rule, 14-4 - Jaguars baseball falls 11-2 to Pierz

The Jaguars fastpitch team improved to 3-2 overall and 2-1 in the Central Minnesota Conference tonight in a road win at Pierz. The game was shortened due to the 10-run rule, with a final score of 14-4 after six innings.

The Jaguars baseball team fell to 0-3 on the season with an 11-2 loss to Pierz. The game was hosted by the Jaguars in Regal. Tomorrow they will head to Elrosa to host Minnewaska Area in a non-conference game against the 2-4 Lakers. It will be the first action of the 2009 baseball season for Saints Field.

The Jaguars girls golf team placed third in a Central Minnesota Conference meet that they hosted at Prairie View Community Golf Course. Team scores were as follows: (1) Kimball/Eden Valley-Watkins 211 (2) Rockford 213 (3) B-B-E 218 (4) Pierz 218 (5) Maple Lake 232.

Tuesday's baseball game will be aired on Glenwood's 107.1 FM. Fans who can't get the station on their radios can tune in via the world wide web at Smooth Magic 107's website http://smoothmagic107.com/

Pre-game begins at 4:15, with first pitch at Elrosa set for 4:30.
