Jaguars Volleyball wins grueling 3-1 match at Maple Lake

The Irish (9-5 overall, 1-2 Central Minnesota Conference) made the Jaguars earn it tonight on the Maple Lake court, though the Blue and Silver was able to make the trip back up Highway 55 with their unblemished conference record still intact.

Irish head coach Marty Kiebel always has his squad revved up to play the Jaguars, and this season was no different.

Luckily, the Jaguars had the edge on the hardwood tonight.

The Jaguars (14-2 overall, 3-0 CMC) gear up for a two-match week next week that includes a trip to K-M-S on Monday night and a home match on Thursday (Oct 1) against Pierz.

They travel to the Willmar Cardinal Classic tournament on Saturday, October 3. The Jaguars have participated in this tournament since 1997. They've won the last three championships here.

Pierz improved to 3-0 in the CMC tonight with a win at Rockford.

K-M-S is 5-12 overall after going 4-4 in their first eight matches of the season. Their Camden Conference North record is 2-3 coming into tonight's match against Renville County West.
