Here's an updated weather notice from the National Weather Service:
A blizzard warning remains in effect until midnight and no travel is advised at this time for west central and southwest Minnesota.
All state highways in west central and southwestern Minnesota were closed at 3 p.m. until further notice.
The Minnesota National Guard has been activated to assist counties in west central and southwestern Minnesota to provide shelter and other support. National Guard Armories in Olivia, Marshall and St. James have been opened for standed travelers.
The road closing includes highways south and west of Willmar, including U.S. Highway 71 and state Highways 23 and 40. Additional west central counties included in the road closing Chippewa, Lac qui Parle, Lincoln, Lyon, Murray, Pipestone, Redwood and Yellow Medicine.
The National Weather Service's blizzard warning includes the west central Minnesota counties of Chippewa, Douglas, Kandiyohi, Lac qui Parle, McLeod, Meeker, Pope, Redwood, Renville, Stevens, Swift, and Yellow Medicine.

Notes: HL-W-W improves to 12-4 with a blowout win over a 3-14 Zimmerman team. The Lakers, who lead the Central Minnesota Conference with a 6-0 mark, have won seven of their past eight games.

**Coming on Tuesday night: The Jaguars girls basketball team travels to Kimball, the Jaguars boys basketball team hosts Sauk Centre, and the Jaguars wrestling team travels to Royalton for a triangular involving Roylaton/Upsala-Swanville and Rockford.
Sauk Centre's boys basketball team is 1-10 overall and 0-7 in the West Central North Conference. Royalton/Upsala-Swanville wrestling is 9-6 overall and 2-1 in the Central Minnesota Conference. Rockford's wrestling team is 4-7 overall and 1-3 in the CMC.
A fun sidebar: the Osakis girls and boys golf teams will compete in the Central Minnesota Conference beginning in 2010.
