Getting hot at the right time with playoffs looming on the horizon, the B-B-E Jaguars girls basketball team swept all three opponents last week, picking up two close wins in Central Minnesota Conference action over Pierz and Eden Valley-Watkins.
This week the Jaguars (5-6 CMC, 9-14) host Rockford on Tuesday night, Maple Lake on Thursday, and Kimball Area on Friday to cap the regular season.
Sub-Section 6A-South playoffs begin on March 1 with the play-in round. Quarterfinal action begins on March 4.

After building a 30-19 halftime lead, the Jaguars went up 38-21 with a Julie Hieserich three-pointer and then 46-25 on a paint shot from Rachel Anderson to run away with the game at Osakis (7-15). Anderson's double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds led a balanced attack, with eight Jaguars scoring on the night.

A strong night on the boards, combined with 22-of-33 free throw shooting, helped the Jaguars return from Pierz with a much-needed win. Julie Hieserich's 15 points and two three-pointers led the attack, as the Jaguars led by double digits at the break, up 29-18.

In a tight ball game that stood at a 9-9 deadlock at halftime, the Jaguars pulled ahead with three minutes left on two Raeann Sorenson free throws. The sophomore guard made her final seven free throws and went 9-of-10 from the line in the game,
as she led the Jaguars with 13 points.
The other Jaguar scoring in double figures, Lauren Anderson, posted a double-double of 11 points and 11 rebounds. As a team, they held the Eagles (7-5 CMC, 9-12) to
10-of-54 shooting from the floor.

**Playoff notes:
The Jaguars host 9th-seeded Hillcrest Lutheran Academy of Fergus Falls on Monday night, March 1, at 7:00pm. The Comets got blown away in their regular season finale when they traveled to Wheaton on Tuesday, February 23, and went home as 58-30 losers to the Wheaton/Herman-Norcross Warriors.
The Comets finished 3-9 in the Little Eight Conference, good for 6th place in the seven-team league.
