Jaguars Hoops are both winners tonight on the hardcourt - Boys rough up Kimball 84-53, Girls thump Osakis 50-29

Rachel Anderson spins near the baseline to get a tough shot off during the Jaguars' 50-29 win over non-conference Osakis tonight. She led the team with 17 points and 11 rebounds.

The Jaguars girls basketball team picked up their 7th win of the season with a convincing 50-29 win at Osakis. The Silverstreaks are a young team, enduring a rare losing season, and they fall to 7-13 overall with the loss.

The Jaguars (7-14) expanded on a single-digit lead at halftime to go up 30-19. A three-point play by Raeann Sorenson only three minutes into the second half made it 33-21. Four minutes later, a Julie Hieserich three-pointer put the Jaguars on top 38-21 and they never looked back.

The Jaguars boys basketball team is now 10-1 in the Central Minnesota Conference (17-3 overall) after a huge 84-53 win over visiting Kimball Area (2-8 CMC, 6-12). The game was aired on The Train 106.5FM.

Nine Jaguars scored in the big win over the Cubs, led by Kevin Kuefler's 29 points.

**In a very thrilling game at Minnewaska Area tonight, the Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta boys basketball team survived a scare from the host Lakers, as the Tigers scored on a buzzer-beater to win 67-66. The Lakers held a one-point lead with 11 seconds left, but went 0-for-2 at the free throw line to give MA/CA a chance.

Albany survived a scare from Long Prairie-Grey Eagle in boys basketball: Albany 41, Long Prairie-Grey Eagle 40. (The Thunder were hosts)
