Playoffs, playoffs, playoffs...Jaguars' sports is packed with post-season action this week

Lennard Krebs takes the handoff from Eric Speldrich. Both are the lone seniors on the Jaguars' boys track and field team this season.

  • In a nutshell...

Jaguars' track and field: they host the Sub-Section 5A-20 meet at the high school sports complex on Tuesday, May 25. Field events start at 2pm, with prelims for running events coming at 2:45pm. Finals start at 4:00pm.

The Jaguars' fastpitch infield huddles up between innings in recent home action. On Tuesday this week, they will play for a Section 5A Final Four berth, a feat achieved only three times since 2000. Their last trip to sections came in 2008, which was also the first season they earned a sub-section championship in school history.

Jaguars' fastpitch: On Tuesday this week, they travel to the Minnewaska Area fastpitch complex at their high school to take on #1-seeded and state-ranked Osakis in the Sub-Section 5A-West semi-finals. The game begins at 5:00pm. The other semi-final will take place at the same time and location between #2-seed Kimball Area and #6-seed Eden Valley-Watkins.

The winners advance to the Section 5A final four round, the losers are out.

Jaguars' boys and girls golf: the Sub-Section 5A-North meet is at the Minnewaska Golf Course on Friday, May 28. Both boys and girls teams will be competing.

Jaguars' baseball: a trip to Upsala on Friday, May 28, with a 3:30pm game against the third-seeded Upsala/Swanville Area Patriots. The Jaguars are ranked #6 in the nine-team sub-section.

If they defeat USA, they will play either Osakis or Pillager at Joe Faber Field in St.Cloud on Tuesday night, June 1 at 7:00pm.
