Jaguar volleyball clinches CMC title outright with a 3-1 win at Kimball tonight

Holding onto number seven in the most recent Class A state rankings, just released yesterday, the B-B-E Jaguars volleyball team dispatched the Kimball Area Cubs tonight in a four-game win after dropping the first game 25-22.

After somewhat sloppy play in game one that went to the Cubs, the Jaguars (22-2 overall) picked up their game and took the next three games to finish 7-0 in the Central Minnesota Conference this year. It is the fourth year in a row they have won the CMC title outright. Five seasons ago, they shared the title with Maple Lake with 6-1 records.

In the history of B-B-E, the Jaguars volleyball team has won or shared 10 conference titles, with seven of them coming with perfect league records. Their first volleyball title came in 1994, when they went 14-0 in the West Central South Conference.

Kimball Area, who is also in Section 5A, finished the CMC schedule with a 3-4 record, while they fell to 9-12 overall.
