Jaguars volleyball is seeded #3! They open state on Thursday at 3pm

The Jaguars volleyball team gathers at mid-court in wild celebration of their state berth last night after defeating Nevis 3-1 in the section championship at Pierz.

The Jaguars will take on Mayer Lutheran in the Class A state quarterfinals on Thursday at 3pm. The Crusaders were ranked #5 in the latest state rankings and currently have a 20-11-1 record.

See more on their incredible section final win over Nevis below.

After the win on Saturday night, Coach Weller commented about the seeding process and what his hopes and expectations were, "There's an outside chance we should be able to sneak into number four, and a way outside chance that we could get number three if Martin County West does not advance. It would be nice to get a seed, otherwise you go into that blind draw and you're not sure who you'll end up with."

The following comments given ended up coming true, with the silver lining being that the Jaguars ultimately earned a number three seed, "I would expect Minneota will have the number one seed if they get past Windom. They're very deserving of the top seed, we've watched them play this year. Wabasha or Bethlehem, whoever gets out of that section will be number two. Beyond that, it's kind of wide open."

I have a total of 320+ pictures from Saturday night. (Not to mention over a dozen video clips that I will work with on Monday.)
