A few notes from after the Melrose win: The last time B-B-E started 2-0 to the season in boys basketball was 2004-2005, when they finished 21-8 and as Section 5A runners-up.

The last Melrose win over B-B-E in boys hoops was in the 2006-2007 season when BBE finished 4-22.

In 2007-2008, the game was decided by 2 points (51-49W) in Belgrade. In 2009-2010, the game was decided by 1 point in Brooten (56-55W).
