The Jaguars boys basketball team posted a 68-39 win at Osakis, while improving to 9-0 overall. Osakis, who is in Section 6AA, fell to 2-8 with the loss. The boys basketball team hosts Kimball Area on Thursday night this week in a Central Minnesota Conference game. The Cubs are 6-2 overall and 2-1 in the CMC, one game behind the Jaguars in the standings.
In Osakis tonight, the Jaguars jumped out to early leads of 7-0, 13-1, and 15-3 to take control of the first half. Osakis showed its grit by battling back to a 21-13 deficit, but the Jaguars would not let them get any closer as they pulled away for a 40-27 lead at halftime.
In the second half, both teams traded baskets, beginning with a three pointer by Kirby Montbriand, before the Jaguars went on a 12-0 run to break the game wide open. Osakis never threatened the rest of the way, as the Jaguars' defense held them to 12-of-40 shooting from the field for the game.

The Jaguars girls basketball team won 62-41 over visiting Paynesville Area. The Bulldogs led 28-24 at halftime. The Jaguars (3-5, 1-2 CMC) host Holdingford tomorrow night in a Central Minnesota Conference game. The Huskers are 1-2 in the CMC and 4-5 overall.
The Jaguars wrestling team travels to Holdingford for a dual meet on Tuesday night. The Jaguars are 3-7 in dual meets this season, with Holdingford at 9-3. Paynesville Area was to be involved in a triangular with the two teams, but they recently backed out.
