On a windy but very seasonal day for baseball today, an inspired Meire Grove Grovers amateur baseball team beat up host Elrosa 8-2 for their first win over the Saints since 2009.

Up next for Elrosa: a Friday night game (June 3) in Elrosa against Greenwald. The Cubs beat Spring Hill today 3-2.

I've got a load of catching up to do to update the area results' board and talk more about Jaguars golf, track and field and the baseball teams. All three units will be in action next week searching for continued playoff success. The golf/track teams have been whittled down to the Section 5A qualifiers, numbering 14 strong on both the boys' and girls' side of the rosters.
