A hustling B-B-E Jaguars boys basketball team jumped out to an 11-0 lead with 14:44 left in the first half against West Central Area, then led 27-4 with 9:42 left on their way to a big lead at the break in the Preaseason 2011 Clash title game.The second half is set to begin at about 9:16.

In the second half, the Jaguars started out with a 12-0 run and never looked back, holding a comfortable lead all the way to a 84-55 win.
They take a 2-0 record into Morris next Tuesday to face the undefeated Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta Tigers. It's the first meeting of the two teams since the 1998-1999 season, the last year B-B-E was a member of the West Central South Conference. And yes, the Tigers are still coached by Mark Torgerson, who like Coach Montbriand is one of the great ones out there.
On that subject, Coach Montbriand earned his 300th career coaching win last night during the Jaguars' season-opening win over A-C-GC. He now has 301 wins in his 19th season as head coach at B-B-E.
