Good grief!

B-B-E's Paris Mitchell (#14) broke free.
Click on the photo of Mitchell for an uninterrupted view of the photo. Thankfully, he didn't get hurt. A lesson to any young football player: keep your hands and shoulders low! No reason exists to have your hands near a ball carrier's helmet during a football game!

Here's the next frame taken during this big gain by Mitchell...left to right behind him are the following Jaguars: Trevor Schlangen (#85), unidentified #23, Abraham Peters (#10) and Kole Kampsen (#65)...

Dylan Kampsen (#52) suffered an injury that has kept him out of recent games.  He's supported the team in another way, by being a great motivator on the sidelines for his teammates.

I just realized I have a lot of coverage lately of the Youth Tackle football team and not as much as I should have of varsity teams. I'll work on changing that!

While on the subject of football, tonight is Friday Night Lights Part III, as the Jaguars entertain Holdingford at the high school sports complex. The Huskers are 1-1 after picking up their first win of the season in an upset 12-7 victory over state-ranked Pierz in Week 2.

This game is HUGE! The Jaguars have a great shot at climbing up the seven-team Section 4A standings, as they are one of three teams currently sitting in last place at 0-2. If the Jaguars could go at least 4-4, they will have a very good chance of earning a home playoff game in October.

...don't miss out on the Belgrade Hardware Hank's Grand Opening celebration that started yesterday and runs through tomorrow.
