I just ran across this on the Facebook Wall news feed. It is incredibly offensive to anyone, such as myself, who has friends and neighbors who are gay or lesbian. It totally highlights the offensive nature of the Anti-Marriage Amendment that is being pushed in Minnesota.

Here's my two cents: the point of marriage equality is so a gay couple can get married without spending thousands or even tens of thousands of dollars on lawyer fees in order to get the rights being mentioned in the link I posted. If a gay couple wants hospital visitation rights, for example, if they are married that is an assumed and given right. Without that, they need to hire an attorney and spend an obscene amount of money just so they can visit one another in the hospital in a time of sickness or even death.
You can vote a straight-line Republican ticket and still be true to the notion of "smaller government" and keeping government control in check...all while voting NO on the truly hateful anti-Marriage Amendment!
"Separate but equal" does not work! That was established in the 1950s...let's move our state forward and not backwards.
