Boys' basketball scores 92 in their 2nd win of the year; girls' hoops falls to Paynesville

That's a nice-looking score at the end of a game.

Here's the tip off of tonight's game...

Despite two starters fouling out in the latter part of the second half, the B-B-E Jaguars boys' basketball team withstood a couple strong rallies by A-C-GC to expand on a 55-44 lead on their way to a 92-61 win. It was a high-tempo, throttle-to-the-floorboards type of game with bodies crashing the floor throughout all 36 minutes.

Brian Goodwin earned a career-high 35 points (6-of-11 on threes) to lead all scorers, with fellow juniors Trey Heinsius and Billy Borgerding each adding 15 points. From beyond the arc, the Jaguars were incredibly efficient by hitting 10 of 23 three-point shots.

Unofficially, D-Mac had the Jaguars for 29 turnovers, including 12 in the first half. The Falcons finished the game with 30 turnovers.

Up next: the Jaguars (2-0) host Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta next Tuesday night in another non-conference game.

From Benson, the Jaguars girls' basketball team trailed 31-24 at halftime to Paynesville Area. They lost 54-40.

More will follow later tonight. Time to go home and put my feet up after two action-packed days.
