Wrestlers drub BOLD!

Ross Rath needs only 11 more dual wins to break the Rath family dual record...a record his brother Tyler (B-B-E Class of 2006) set during a sparkling career on the mats during his high school days when he competed in three consecutive state tournaments in 10th, 11th and 12th grade.

Final in the season dual opener: B-B-E 43, BOLD 27. A nice win for the Jaguars as they get to bed early and prepare for a 6:00am departure for the 14-team Maple Grove Crimson Classic invitational tomorrow morning.

Against BOLD, Ross Rath earned his 100th career win by earning an incredible 11-second pin.

How cool is this? BOLD entered the contest with a 2-0 record this season; last Tuesday at a West Central Conference triangular at Minnewaska, the Warriors beat up on the host Lakers 47-27 and then took apart Sauk Centre-Melrose 42-24.

Great job tonight, Jaguars! This win was a terrific way to build on last week's runner-up finish at their Jaguar Invite. I am very excited about the potential of this team.

Up next for duals: the Jaguars host Royalton/Upsala (0-3) next Tuesday night. B-B-E has a fair amount of payback to give, as the Royals nipped the Jaguars last January 33-32 in a triangular. It was a night of heartbreak for the Jaguars on that January 10 evening, as they also lost to Osakis 37-36 but fortunately got healthy and got revenge on the Silverstreaks in the playoff opener in a 46-28 win.
