Jaguars compete at Little Crow track and field invitational; boys' golfers 3rd at CMC opener

Ross Rath burning down the track in the 200 open. He finished with a stellar time of 24.24.

It was a cold afternoon/evening for a track and field meet, but the wind died down just enough to make it bearable. The sunshine sure helped too.

The sun shined with all its might but at times could not overcome the cold and wind at NL-S.

At Rockford Area, the Jaguars baseball team won 5-4 and lost 8-4 in a Central Minnesota Conference double-header.

In their CMC opener for the season, the Jaguars boys' golf team took third place. Jackson Gregory, a junior, took second individually by carding a 40. Jordan Lewis shot a 44, followed by Austin Trustheim's 48 to round out three Jaguars shooting in the 40s.

Central Minnesota Conference baseball scores on May 2:
Maple Lake 10, EV-W 0
Maple Lake 7, EV-W 1
Holdingford 6, Kimball Area 0
Holdingford 5, Kimball Area 4
