Halftime in Minnetonka

The scoreboard reads B-B-E 41, Polars 31 at halftime. The Jaguars boys' basketball team is playing on the same floor that Coach Dave Montbriand played on in the late 1970s when he was a talented guard for Bloomington Jefferson. They were a member of the same conference as Minnetonka, and this was the varsity floor back then.

The Jaguars got off to a fast start and built an early 8-2 lead at the 15:09 mark after Billy Borgerding hit a three-pointer and James Kuefler drained a free throw.

Two double-bonus free throws by Trey Heinsius put the Jaguars ahead 32-22 with 5:56 remaining.

Second half with 10 minutes left: BBE 53, North 52.

What a performance by BBE!  Final: Jaguars 90, Polars 75. Brian Goodwin finished with a school-record 46 points. Billy Borgerding had 20 points including four threes and three very important three-pointers in the second half. Nick Benton was also in double figures with 10 points.

More coming after we load the bus!
