B-B-E closed tomorrow
At 16:16 today school at B-B-E was called off for Tuesday, January 7. This extends the Christmas break to an unprecedented 17 days long!
I'll post other information after tending to my family before the temps plunge again.
I have to give a huge shout out to B-B-E officials for sending the word out this afternoon regarding tomorrow's closing. This gives my family ample time to plan ahead for another snow day with the kids.
No word yet on reschedule dates for the nixed athletic contests.
**Just saw this, and I happen to think it is cooler than sliced bread...B-B-E Speech team members are encouraged to set up a Facetime/Skype session with Coach Lucy for during the day tomorrow...one good way to productively pass the time.
**Update: Melrose, Paynesville, NL-S, EV-W, K-M-S, A-C-GC and Albany among others are closed tomorrow. Minnewaska, LP-GE, Benson, Alexandria and Sauk Centre are 2 hours late...that's the last I heard as of about 7:00pm.
Let's get through another day of this, Jaguar Country. Watch out for your neighbors, don't be afraid to offer help and please, please, be aware of what our kids are up to. This is not the type of weather to be screwing around in.
Another thought...just because it's a "snow day" learning can still take place. Tell your kids to read! Read early, read often! That's the motto at our house.
Here's some good reading material if you're bored...and if you know of unemployed folks, spread the word...plenty of jobs to be had in rural Minnesota: http://www.wctrib.com/content/economy-recovers-filling-job-vacancies-becoming-challenge
