Good reading

Did you know that ADHD is almost non-existant in France?

Did you know that in the U.S., around 9 % of kids have an ADHD diagnosis? Whew!

Read this:

Sad that we just throw drugs at a problem that can be treated differently.

I thought the last paragraph was priceless:
"As a therapist who works with children, it makes perfect sense to me that French children don't need medications to control their behavior because they learn self-control early in their lives. The children grow up in families in which the rules are well-understood, and a clear family hierarchy is firmly in place. In French families, as Druckerman describes them, parents are firmly in charge of their kids—instead of the American family style, in which the situation is all too often vice versa."

What I like about what we've got going at B-B-E...parents here know what they're doing. And we've got pretty great kids here as a result!!
