Two wins on the hardwood tonight

Nick Benton dove for this loose ball in the final minute of the first half tonight.

The Jaguars boys' basketball team blew Holdingford off the court in a 68-30 win. With 10:32 left, Nick Benton swung through the lane for a lay up for a 62-24 lead, and the Jaguars subbed to the JV from there. The win upped their overall record to 17-1 and 9-0 in the Central Minnesota Conference. It's their 64th straight conference win in a streak dating back to December 15, 2009. On that night, Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted beat the visiting Jaguars 77-64.

In a 10-minute span, the Jaguars opened up a 6-4 lead (13:50 left) to what is on the scoreboard above.
Holdingford (3-16, 0-9) actually took a 4-2 lead with 14:50 left on Jeremy Springer's rebound shot in the paint. Trey Heinsius scored a layup with 14:30 left to tie it up and get the first points of an 18-0 run. Brian Goodwin put a bookend on the surge with the third of three consecutive three-point shots.

Below, James Kuefler knocks down a bucket in the first half:

After holding a nine-point lead at halftime in Rockford, the Jaguars girls' basketball team picked up a 65-62 win over the Rockets. They led by two points with 76 seconds and held on while improving to 9-7 this season.

I've got some Dazzlers video, plus more footage from the boys' basketball game, to upload later tonight.
