| They had a lot to celebrate yesterday. |
In a tournament at New London-Spicer on Saturday, the
4th grade boys' basketball Jaguars, 12 players strong, took second place. They beat Lakeview and Albany in pool play before falling to Annandale in the title game. The success just adds to the excitement of March Madness in
Jaguar Country! I can't help but think ahead and wonder if this group of players will put in the time and energy to the game of basketball just as 9 members of the Class of 2014 did. Wouldn't that be special!!!! It's nothing easy to ask of them or their families, but one thing is for sure: the path has been laid by our last 6 boys' basketball teams, all the younger kids have to do is follow it. The neat thing we have going is that we don't have to wonder what it takes to win a state championship. Been there, done that.
