State semis, here we come!!!
)
Final: B-B-E 85, Park Christian 50. The Falcons finish 22-10 overall. Their ball handling just wasn't up to the task for what the Jaguars brought to town. Park Christian played very well to start out, but the intense pressure defense by the Jaguars wore them down by around the 9-10 minute mark after tip off. The score was tied one time at 13-13 with 11:39 left. For the entire game (all early in the first half) the lead changed 6 times. The Jaguars broke the game open with a 16-0 run lasting between the 11:39 mark to the 7:10 mark. Park Christian broke the 16-0 run with a free throw with 6:37 left. In the final 11:39 of the first half, the Falcons scored just 5 total points.
Field goal shooting: Jaguars 56.1% for the game, Falcons 46.7%. Park Christian had two players in double figures (15, 14) while the Jaguars had 3 guys in double figures (35, 13, 12).
Points in the paint stood in favor of the Jaguars by a 34-24 margin for the game. The HUGE statistic that jumps off of the page is "points off of turnovers" which was 37-9 in favor of the Jaguars!
The Jaguars, 29-1 overall, now face either Canby or Fond du Lac in the Class A state semifinals on Friday, March 14 at 12:00 noon at the Target Center in Minneapolis.
