Baseball ends losing skid

The four-game losing streak for the Jaguars baseball team ended on Friday when they pulled out a 5-4 come-from-behind win at state-ranked Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted in a Central Minnesota Conference doubleheader. Dalon Bitzan’s suicide squeeze brought in Justin Schmitz from third and Trey Heinsius from second on an overthrow in the bottom of the fifth as the Jaguars (3-9, 1-8 CMC) overtook the Lakers (8-4 overall).

Jordan Wosmek pitched 5 2/3 innings to pick up the win.

At Rockford, the Jaguars boys' golf team placed fourth with a 187 in a CMC meet.
