The B-B-E Jaguars wrestling team earned their third trip in four seasons to the Section 5A Final Four after they annihilated Minnewaska Area 55-15 in the section quarterfinals tonight. In another quarterfinal playoff meet, fifth-seeded Kimball Area earned a minor upset by defeating fourth-seeded Paynesville 40-36; the Cubs won in thrilling fashion by getting a pin at heavyweight (2:54) to erase a 36-34 deficit.

Top-seeded Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City beat out eighth-seeded Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted 66-10.

Next for the Jaguars (13-4): the semifinals at 6 p.m. on Friday at Eden Valley when they face third-seeded Osakis. The Silverstreaks (13-10) beat out Eden Valley-Watkins 59-16.

At halftime the girls' basketball team has a 37-20 lead over Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City. Final: Jaguars 68, ACGC 41. The girls have 13 wins in the regular season for the first time since 2008-09!

The boys lost 77-64 at Eden Valley.
