B-B-E's rock star-loaded speech team had six of their eight state entrants placed eighth or better today at the Class 1A state speech meet at Lakeville North high school. Two were state runners-up! Wow! Having six state speech finalists is a school record at B-B-E.
Here's how the state speech meet hardware shook out for B-B-E:
Earning second place were Molly Tengwall (storytelling) and Tom Siebels (discussion). Mariah Heinze took fourth (Serious Interpretation of Drama), Katie Hieserich placed seventh (Original Oratory) and Joe Reller / Riley Schumann placed eighth (duo interpretation).
