The North Dakota State College of Science Wildcats volleyball team improved to 25-7 overall with a 3-1 win over Bismarck State College in the Region XIII championship match last night in Bismarck, North Dakota. Game scores were 26-24, 20-25, 28-26, 25-19. The match ended in game four when B-B-E Class of 2015 graduate Kinlee Swanson earned a kill for NDSCS's 25th point; she finished with nine kills overall.
Game three was a barn-burner, with Bismarck State leading 25-24 and just one point away from taking a 2-1 lead over the Wildcats.
Becca Gruber, B-B-E Class of 2014 graduate, led the Wildcats attack with 14 kills and two ace blocks. NDSCS won the Region XIII title for the second year in a row. In 2014, the Wildcats lost to Central Nebraska in the District G playoffs with a national tournament berth on the line. They took a 34-1 overall record into the district playoffs and finished the season 34-3.
