Jaycees Pitch Hit and Run is Saturday

The co-ed event, sponsored by the B-B-E Area Jaycees, is this Saturday, April 30 with registration at 8:30 a.m. and the event starting at 9 a.m. sharp at Saints Field in Elrosa.

Pitch Hit & Run is the official skills competition of Major League Baseball. It's a grassroots program designated to provide youth with an opportunity to compete, free of charge, in a competition that recognizes individual excellence in core baseball / softball skills.

Boys and girls are divided into four age divisions: 7/8, 9/10, 11/12 and 13/14 year olds. They have a chance to advance through four levels of competition, including Team Championships at Major League ballparks (Target Field in Minneapolis) and the National Finals at the 2016 Major League Baseball All-Star Game.

All participants must bring a copy of their birth certificate and have their parent/guardian fill out a registration/waiver form prior to the start of competition.
