"Let's get to work, boys!" the Jaguars get to work on offense at Murdock - PHOTO BY CHERYL KAMPSEN |
With the game literally hanging in the balance, and the B-B-E Jaguars football team ahead by a slim 16-14 margin, K-M-S drove deep into Jaguars territory in the middle of the fourth quarter. The Fighting Saints were poised to regain the lead with first down on the eight-yard line. They got five yards on their first play to get to the three-yard line with three more plays to go. Outstanding goal-line defense by the Jaguars plus two K-M-S penalties resulted in a turnover on downs at the B-B-E 14-yard line with 6:45 left in the game.
On the next play, with B-B-E setting up their offense on their own 14-yard line, Isaiah Gilbert made the most of a wide-open lane to blast through and scored from 86 yards out! The hole was big enough to drive a Mack truck through. It was incredible! K-M-S's defense didn't have a chance.
See for yourself...
Just a little exciting! It was incredible. The Jaguars went from a decent chance at trailing 22-16 or 21-16 to having a 24-14 lead!
