Volleyball playoffs!

Earlier today, the B-B-E Jaguars volleyball team was given the No. 1 seed for Sub-Section 5A-South-A. It was not unexpected, as they were far and away above the next-ranked team in their sub-section pod.

As stated in last week's Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper, the playoffs begin this Friday, Oct. 27 when the Jaguars host a sub-section quarterfinal match at 7 p.m. The opponent will be the winner of Thursday's play-in round match between No. 4-seeded Benson and No. 5-seeded Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City.

If the Jaguars win on Friday, they will travel to a site TBD on Tuesday, Oct. 31 for the semifinal round.

I am neck deep right now getting my October 26 issue ready for press. It has to happen far ahead of schedule, as my Tuesday night will be consumed by the football team's playoff opener. The press rolls on Wednesday morning - so the clock is ticking!

Further volleyball playoff updates, including the full seedings for Section 5A, will be posted late tonight or Tuesday morning.
