The No. 2-seeded and No. 6-ranked B-B-E Jaguars wrestling team won 67-11 tonight over Quad County to open the Section 5A tournament. The quarterfinal-round win lands them a spot in the section Final Four for the second year in a row and the third time in the last four seasons.

Quad County, the No. 10 seed in Section 5A, advanced from the pigtail match with a 46-33 win over No. 7-seeded Ortonville.

At Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg, the No. 3-seeded Fighting Saints defeated No. 6-seeded Benson 48-24.

At Minnewaska Area, the No. 4-seeded Lakers ended No. 5-seeded Paynesville Area's season in a 42-31 quarterfinal-round win.

The winners square off later that night in the Section 5A finals for the right to compete at the Class 1A state tournament.
