The top-seeded B-B-E Jaguars girls' basketball team won 54-42 tonight to win the Sub-Section 5A-South championship against No. 2-seeded East Central. Powered by a career-high 28 points from junior post Macie Kirckof, the Jaguars harassed the Eagles into 23 turnovers on the night.
Next: the Section 5A finals where they take on Menahga (29-0) on Friday, March 9 at 7 p.m. for the right to play in the state tournament. The Braves claimed the north sub-section crown with a 70-55 win over Walker-Hackensack-Akeley (24-6).

No. 7-seeded Onamia (8-15) won a boys' basketball play-in round game tonight 64-31 over No. 10-seeded Ogilvie. They play at No. 2-seeded B-B-E on Thursday night at 7 p.m. in the quarterfinals.
