Sizzling in the gym
The B-B-E Jaguars volleyball team won by a 3-1 margin over visiting Paynesville Area tonight in front of a rowdy, packed hometown crowd. The Bulldogs traveled well with a huge contingent of Green & Black donning the stands. Game scores were 25-10, 25-17, 18-25, 25-16.
The Bulldogs, already winners of 11 matches this season, built huge leads in game three, 12-2 and then 18-8, but the Jaguars came back to within two points late in the game, down just 20-18, before falling by a seven-point margin.
As a team, the Jaguars had a very solid 24.6 hitting percentage. No Jaguar hit in the 30s, but the attack was extremely balanced with five hitters going at 19.2 percent or better. That is going to win a lot of matches!
