The playoff opener was a success tonight for the B-B-E Jaguars volleyball team. Facing fourth-seeded Kimball Area, the Jaguars were dominant all night in a 3-0 win that lasted just 56 minutes.
Now 23-4 overall, the Jaguars advance to the Sub-Section 5A-South semifinals. Their opponent will be Osakis. The Silverstreaks beat Prairie Conference rival Browerville 3-2 in their quarterfinal match tonight. Game scores were 25-15, 25-14, 23-25, 22-25, 15-6.
B-B-E and Osakis will square off next Tuesday, October 30 at Long Prairie-Grey Eagle high school. First serve will be approximately 7:30 p.m.

Around Section 5A tonight...
*A wild border battle took place in Kerkhoven, where the K-M-S Fighting Saints lost a 3-2 battle with No. 3-seeded Benson. The Braves won game five by a 16-14 score! Holy cow! Can you imagine the atmosphere there? Making it more dramatic was how K-M-S lit up Benson in the first two games (25-17, 25-11)...K-M-S finishes a fine season with a 16-13 record, while Benson advances with an 8-14-1 overall record to face Royalton in the semifinals.
