Horribly, horribly behind on just about everything imaginable here...today will be my first crack at trying to get caught up. If that's even possible.
Tonight! At our home game between the B-B-E Jaguars girls' basketball team and the Kimball Cubs, 106.5 FM The Train will be in action in conjunction with members of the B-B-E broadcasting team. The game will be the regular season finale as playoffs are set to begin next week.
Also! At Pierz, the B-B-E Jaguars boys' basketball team has a huge, huge game against the Pioneers. That game will be aired on YouAreThereSports.com...with Rick Grammond's fine coverage. Rick has been a long-time sports journalist friend of mine. He is one of the best! Thanks, Rick, for the coverage!
The boys' basketball team is in fourth place (6-4) in the Central Minnesota Conference standings. They trail front-runner Eden Valley-Watkins (8-3) by one-and-a-half games. Tonight's game is essentially a must-win game in order to stay in the hunt.
Both B-B-E and Pierz are 12-9 overall, but the Pioneers have won six of their last seven contests. Their only loss in that span was by a 90-85 score in a shoot out at Paynesville on February 8. The Jaguars got a boost with an overtime win over Kimball on Tuesday in which they halted a three-game losing skid.
Note: playoff seedings for the girls' basketball team will be added at this sports blog in a new post. Re-load the page to see that!
More to come.
