The B-B-E Jaguars boys' basketball team suffered a heartbreaking loss tonight at Paynesville. After holding a 15-14 lead at halftime, the Jaguars were outscored by two points in the second half in a 39-38 loss.
The game featured a huge disparity in free throws. Paynesville got to the line for 19 attempts and made only 10. The Jaguars were good on four of six free throws through the entire 36-minute game.
Now 13-11 overall and 7-5 in the Central Minnesota Conference, the Jaguars hit the road on Friday this week to face Kimball Area. They sit in a tie for third place in the CMC with Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted. In second is Maple Lake (9-4), while Eden Valley-Watkins remains in first place with a 9-3 mark.
