Boys' basketball team Step I: clearing the carbon out

If the B-B-E Jaguars boys' basketball team was a car or truck engine, you could say tonight they "cleared the carbon" out of the cylinder heads...in the Sub-Section 5A-South quarterfinals, the Jaguars throttled No. 7-seeded Onamia by a 70-44 score. B-B-E led 41-28 at halftime.

Onamia finishes 9-17 overall.

Now 15-12 overall, the Jaguars advance to the semifinal round for the second year in a row. They play on Saturday, March 9 at Foley high school. The time may have been changed since I last heard...the Jaguars will play Upsala. **Tip-off will be at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday.

In their quarterfinal game, No. 3-seeded Upsala defeated No. 6-seeded St. John's Prep 69-47.

Spread the word! Of course, Saturday's schedule is weather-permitting...we'll see what comes our way with the predicted snow storm. They are setting it up to beat the storm.

Update: the boys' basketball game against Upsala will NOT take place on Saturday. It will now be held on Monday, March 11 at 7:45 p.m. at Foley high school. Please spread the word!!!

*If the games are indeed moved, the semifinals will take place on Monday next week. The sub-section finals would be on Wednesday night.
