Good afternoon!
We are just concluding the first quarter of the school year. How quickly time flies when you are connected with kids. Many have grown two inches since we've begun the year!
We have a number of things to connect on, so I'll share them as briefly as I can with you.
REFERENDUM TUESDAY
Tuesday, November 5, is another big day for our district. We are asking our patrons to make sure to vote for our levy and bond referendum. Information was provided in an earlier mailing. Early voting is available tomorrow at the Belgrade office from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Voting takes place from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in Brooten and Belgrade. We thank you for voting!
INCLEMENT WEATHER
It's November now. With that, we need to remind you of all of our weather-related procedures. In fact, we're already anticipating some more snow tomorrow. *Note: information on this will be published in the Bonanza Valley Voice. It has been e-mailed out to parents.
VOLLEYBALL/SCHOOL DAY CHANGE
Congratulations to the girls volleyball team for making a return trip to the State tournament! We will be playing Medford on Thursday, November 7 at 3pm at the XCel Energy Center in St. Paul.
Due to the large number of anticipated absences K-12, we will NOT have school on Friday, November 8. Instead, a makeup day will be scheduled for Monday, November 11. The JKC schedule will continue as normal.
Fan buses will be running and signup will take place Monday-Tuesday of next week. Prices for the ride are $5/student, $10/adult. K-6 students may ride, but only with a parent chaperone. Community members may ride also.
There are two options.
1) Take the school bus for a $10 ride or
2) take a coach trip for $20.
To sign up for either of these two options, please e-mail Tessa at tschoenberg@bbejaguars.org to sign up or call the office at 320-346-2278, extension 1218. All riders will pick up a ticket at the Xcel Energy Center.
If you have a prior attendance conflict on Monday, November 11, please let your building principal know!
Any student attending will be given an excused absence from school. This must be verified with a signed note, a direct email or phone call from a parent to the respective office.
VETERANS DAY PROGRAM
The Veterans Day ceremonies scheduled for Friday, November 8 at 9:30 a.m. at the elementary and 1:30 p.m. at the HS have been rescheduled for Monday, November 11 at the same times.
