The B-B-E Jaguars wrestling team handed Royalton-Upsala a 54-15 loss tonight at the home quadrangular. The win also counted on the dual meet standings in the Central Minnesota Conference. This brings the Jaguars to a 5-0 mark, clinching at least a tie for their first conference wrestling title since the 1996-1997 season. This is terrific news!
They have more matches yet tonight, and they won't complete the CMC schedule until next Friday, February 7, when they travel to Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted.
Coming into tonight's action, HL-W-W had a 2-1 mark in CMC duals. Kimball Area has completed their run through the CMC schedule and finished 5-1. Paynesville Area is 2-3 with one match left.

*Update: against No. 2-ranked Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City, the Jaguars have a slim 14-12 lead through the 145-pound match.
Final: A-C-GC 36, B-B-E 24. The Falcons earned half of their points from three pins, setting them up for the team win. It was a very exciting match.
