What a night! (VIDEO added)

In a nutshell...

Tonight at Pine River-Backus high school, the B-B-E Jaguars boys' basketball team picked up a big "statement win" by a 77-47 final score. It was a rematch of last year's Sub-Section 5A-West semifinal game that was also won by our Jaguars. B-B-E, who led just 27-21 at halftime tonight, is now 3-0 on the young season. A total of 13 Jaguars found the scoring column, and as a team, the Jaguars shot an outstanding 45 percent from the floor.

I have a fair amount of video to upload, so I don't know if I'll get much posted here until much later tonight.

Here are the final scores for B-B-E's two wrestling matches:
#3 B-B-E 43, #8 Minneota 21.
#1 LPGE/Browerville 27, #3 B-B-E 26.

That's right! The Jaguars were within one point of the two-time defending state champion and No. 1-ranked Long Prairie-Grey Eagle/Browerville Wolves. The match featured multiple lead changes. It was a match to remember, and it was a rematch of last year's Section 5A championship that LPGE/B won 33-18. The Jaguars are now 6-1 on the season. The Wolves are 6-0.

Earlier this week, LPGE/B defeated Minnewaska Area 46-21.

Tonight, LPGE/B thrashed eighth-ranked Minneota. Late in that dual, the Wolves led 46-4. I don't have a final score for that.

I'll be adding quite a few video clips...this one was uploaded last Saturday night and I forgot to get it up this past week. This video features the Mark Jenniges win at 220 pounds against Minnewaska Area.

*Here's a 14-minute video featuring the 126 and 132 pound matches tonight; Walker Bents and Ryan Jensen, respectively:
