Donations to the Tensen family can be dropped off in person during business hours at the Belgrade Hardware Store. They are open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in downtown Belgrade. The family is VERY appreciative of any support they can get, even just a card of sympathy! All donations will go towards getting Josey home and helping conduct a funeral service he deserves. The Tensens have given so much over the years to our community. Now it is our turn to step up and help them.
Below is a video from the final minute of Thursday night's win over Holdingford:
More to come later.
And I'm searching for more video, but here's a video clip recorded in the latter part of a timeout that was late in game three in the September 9, 2014 home volleyball border battle against New London-Spicer. The Jaguars and Wildcats were locked in a 19-19 tie. You can hear the NL-S student fans finishing their cheer. It appears that Josey Tensen wanted to start a cheer with our student section, but they ran out of time. NL-S won the third set by a 26-24 score and left the gym with a 3-0 sweep. They were in the early stage of a 25-6, Section 3AA runner-up season.
I am still numb over all of this.
In terms of the accident, I spoke with officials at the Nebraska State Patrol, and they don't have additional information to release beyond what was put out last Friday afternoon. The responding patrol officers have a 10-day window to complete their official reports, and in the cases involving more than one fatality, it's possible that more than 10 days are used.
*And! A little more digging and I uncovered this video...it's the last points scored of game three of that volleyball match against NL-S. Fast forward to the 3-minute mark and you'll see Josey leading the student section in a cheer.
