State wrestling finals! Fischer is a STATE CHAMP!

Here we go! This is what I know so far...

At 120 pounds, Ryan Jensen became the youngest B-B-E wrestler in school history to wrestle in a state championship match! He gave one hell of a performance against the top seed but lost by a 6-1 decision. Ryan finishes his freshmen season with a 34-5 record.

At 126 pounds, Walker Bents also turned in an incredible performance and blazed his way to the championship. There he lost to the top seed in a 5-2 decision. Bents finishes his junior season 36-3 overall.

At 138, Tyler Jensen won an 8-5 decision in the 5th Place match to end his season with a win! He went 37-4 in his junior season.

AND! At 145, Blaine Fischer won a 2-0 decision to claim a state title!!! Awesome!!!! Fischer, who scored his points with a reversal in the second period, finishes his junior season 39-1. He won his state title in a championship field that included two sophomores, two other juniors and three seniors. The championship bout featured two juniors, while the third-place match featured two sophomores.

We are so proud of our wrestlers in Jaguar Country! You can bet your bottom dollar that all four state entrants this year will be gunning for state titles in 2022.

That's it for now. I am taking a break.

Here's video of Blaine Fischer's first cousin Kailey Fischer sniping from the three-point line against Swanville in the section finals on Thursday night:

More to come in the morning after church.
