Branton's finish of 10th place met his goal of being in the Top 10 out of 16 competitors at the Section 6A meet. He is a sophomore with two more years to make a bid for the state tournament.

B-B-E Clay Trap Top Guns
This year's winners of the Top Gun Award from the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa clay trapshooting team went to Jack Paulson and Kara Wold.
The Top Gun Award goes to the male and female athlete with the highest season average in shooting trap. The Trap Team finishes its season this Saturday, June 19, at the State Trap Championship at Alexandria Shooting Park starting at 10:30 a.m. All spectators are welcome. Food and non-alchoholic beverages can be brought to the event or purchased on event grounds and consumed in spectator or camping areas.
Classifications include Novice (0-14.99 average per round), junior varsity (15-18.99 average per round) and varsity (19-25 average per round).
