Close battle ends in two-possession loss (VIDEO)
In a rough-and-tumble home battle against a very good Osakis team, the B-B-E Jaguars boys' basketball team fell 71-66 in their first loss of the year. Kaden Pieper led the way with 28 points.
The Silverstreaks, Prairie Conference champions last year and 14-6 overall, improve to 3-1 on the season. They made it tough on the Jaguars with 6-of-13 three-point shooting and multiple high-percentage field goals in the low block area.
*Here's a video from the first half of the game; it begins at about the 6:30 mark:
Osakis has not lost a Prairie Conference game since the 2016-2017 season. That year they finished 11-1 as co-champions of the Prairie with Browerville. They were 10-17 overall and 6-8 (sixth) in the Prairie in 2015-2016.
The Jaguars (1-1) host Holdingford (0-3) next Tuesday for the Central Minnesota Conference opener.
