We had two non-conference wins on the basketball courts tonight for the local varsity teams. Both were against Class 2A schools, and both took place at what Dr. Tony Fauci would consider "large gatherings" of adults and children in which he believes no one should be a part of and should not happen as we go into the Christmas weekend. Based on everything I have seen with my own eyes, what he says is falling on deaf ears in the land of Rocks and Cows, as it well should. Hallelujah!
In a home contest, the B-B-E Jaguars girls' basketball team defeated Litchfield 59-44 to improve to 7-1 overall going into Christmas vacation. They shot a poor 10-of-18 at the free throw line.
In a border battle at Minnewaska Area, the B-B-E Jaguars boys' basketball team picked up a 70-44 win over the Lakers. That game was carried by our two local radio stations. The Jaguars, who led 28-19 at halftime, poured on the oats in the second half while putting up 42 more points. They are 3-2 heading into Christmas.
I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas weekend! I need to rest before I jump back into videos, other game reporting and the area scoreboard.
