Winter Sports Show No. 6: Character, Sportsmanship, Community (VIDEO)

Here is my sixth winter sports show of the 2022-2023 sports season. If I recall correctly, the first one was recorded on December 2. So I've been on a pretty good run so far.

I had a great rhythm going in that video, but at the very end I rambled just a bit too much. Oh well. I had a punch line and hope that it got delivered at the end. I will always continue sharing good things that I hear happening in Jaguar Country. It is a distinct honor and a privilege to live and work here and be inspired by really great kids who are being raised by really great families!

COMING UP THIS WEEK in Jaguar Sports:
Monday: the seventh-grade girls' basketball team hosts a game at the high school, while the junior high wrestlers travel to A-C-GC; also, there is a 7 p.m. school board meeting at the high school media center.

Tuesday: the varsity wrestlers host Kimball and Paynesville in an important Central Minnesota Conference triangular starting at 5 p.m.; the varsity girls' basketball team travels to Litchfield for what will be just their third game of the season. Crazy. They will put a 10-day layoff to bed for the second time this season. CRAZY.

Thursday: the girls' basketball team is in action again on Thursday when they host Upsala in a rescheduled game; the JV team tips off at the high school at 4:15 p.m., while the varsity team will start their game at 5:30 p.m. Meanwhile, the boys' basketball team hosts Minnewaska Area in a Coaches-vs-Cancer game. The JV and C-squad games start at 5:45 p.m. at the elementary, and the varsity game follows at 7 p.m.

Friday: the Christmas vacation begins!

More to come.
