Regardless of what's coming our way for weather, we know our B-B-E Jaguars boys' basketball team is advancing to the second round of the postseason. Tonight in their final game on the home court, the Jaguars dismantled Ortonville 88-57 on a night where 10 players found the scoring column and 13 saw the floor. The game was moved up by one day due to the potential for severe weather that's in the forecast for the next couple of days.
At halftime, the Jaguars led 53-23 after initially trailing 12-6. Ortonville (1-27) went the entire regular season without a win before earning a 63-53 win at Benson on Monday in the play-in round.

The Hancock Owls are 13-13 overall after surviving a tough battle with Parkers Prairie by a 56-55 score.

Notes on Barnum's girls' basketball team: last December, Barnum 6'3" center/post Allie Marine surpassed 1,000 career points in her team's 66-36 win over Cherry. She is one of just three seniors on their roster. They have a very talented point guard, Janaya Jurek, who is one of just two sophomores on their roster. They have just two juniors on the team, and the rest of the roster consists of five freshmen.
