We have two home border battles on deck tonight in Jaguar Country!
First, the B-B-E Jaguars girls' tennis team hosts powerhouse New London-Spicer at the high school courts beginning at 4:30 p.m. The JV tennis squad travels to NL-S for their 4:30 p.m. match. NL-S is a perennial contender in their section and conference, so it will be a good test for our Jaguars to see where they stand as we are in the fourth week of their season.
Also at home, the B-B-E Jaguars volleyball team is set to host the NL-S Wildcats tonight at the elementary gymnasium with the C-squad and JV matches starting at 5:45 p.m. I had the good fortune of visiting with Coach Ben Klaphake at Coop's Corner this morning, and he stated that plans are falling in place to have the B-B-E Broadcasting team cover tonight's varsity contest. The Wildcats are in Section 3AA and held a 3-1 overall record as of last week, with all their matches coming at the Albany tournament on August 25.
Here's a video from last Thursday's match at Clara City...
That video starts early in game three with the Jaguars holding a 9-5 lead. Overall, the set was tied at one game each between the Jaguars and host MACCRAY.
**Volleyball updates....** Glenwood radio is carrying this match by the way!!
NLS won game one by a 25 to 23 score. The Wildcats held an 18-10 lead at one point before the Jaguars tied at 23 all.
In game two...the Jaguars rocketed out to a 17-9 lead. The Wildcats stormed back to tie it at 18-18, and the Jaguars faltered from there in a 25-20 loss. More to come in a new blog post...video is uploading.
